The year 2011 turned out to be the hottst year in Franc since the start of wather records, a century ago. On of the main characteristics of 2011 was the exceptionnally mild and very dry spring and autumn. The months of April and October were the hottest ever recorded with, for example, an excess of over 4.2°C compared to the average in April. The hot and dry weather created this fabulous Petite Champagne 2022 vintage, revealing intense notes of green almonds, orgeat and silky ginger on the nose, and a nice bitterness of pomelo and bitter orange on the palate. The structure is straight and the whole tasting very delightful, an impressive Petite Champagne vintage.
