This single malt is made from unpeated barley, grown, malted and brewed in France. It is in the heart of the cellars of the Bache-Gabrielsen estate that this whisky, after a double distillation, begins its ageing in American Oak cognac casks, before undergoing a finish in barrels having previously contained the Très Vieux Pineau des Charentes Bache-Gabrielsen. This five year-old whisky develops delightful aromas of pear and mirabelle plum bursting with sunshine. It is floral on the palate, with a touch of acacia honey. The ageing brings elegance and length to the finish.
