Once a year, the stills of The Balvenie distillery are cleaned. The distillery takes advantage of the week before this big cleaning to distil peated malt. The result is a single malt made only from Speyside peat and aged exclusively in American oak barrels for 14 years. This peated single malt succeeds in surprising us while keeping the sweetness and roundness that is the character of The Balvenie.
