A Collection of Curious Casks features unique casks from The Balvenie distillery. These casks are the result of David Stewart's initial experiment to mature The Balvenie in French pineau casks. After a few years, however, the results were unsatisfactory (it was decided to use a different type of pineau for the Balvenie French Oak 16 years), but the initial batch continued to age in these casks, and 8 years later, Kelsey realized that an incredible whisky had developed.
