"Pinang Raci" literally translates to a blend of spices. The grandfather, Jacobus "Bobby" Alfons, who inspired and gave his name to Bobby's gin, was known for skillfully infusing Dutch juniper with spices reminiscent of his homeland, Naku, on the island of Ambon. That's how he created and spiced his own gin!
Grandsons Sebastiaan and David attribute the success of Bobby's Dry Gin & Jenever to their grandfather Bobby. However, his legacy goes beyond these spirits and continues to inspire the present and the future. That's why the grandsons and the master distiller of Herman Jansen, Ad van der Lee, continued to experiment with Pinang Raci and the blend of spices, resulting in a series of unique spice blends.
