The Double-Lie Cognac replaces the edition previously known as Verseau. It is distilled with the double lees usually contained in the toast wine. This cognac contains 200 mg/L of esters, three times the level obtained with conventional lees distillation. This exceptional extraction of esters is made possible by the Maillard reaction between the lees and the copper in the still during the cooking of the toasted wine. This unique technique gives Double-Lie an incomparable aromatic intensity.
