The Bows Distillery was founded in 2016 by Benoit Garcia, a climate engineering technician. Equipped with a 900-litre still inspired by 19th-century designs and built by Lagorsse boilermakers, it released its first whisky, Benleioc, in 2021. Initially based in Montauban, the distillery relocated in 2022 to Laure-Minervois, in the Aude region. Made from 80 percent organic yellow corn from Montauban and 20 percent malted barley, this expression immediately evokes the world of great bourbons. Notable for its depth, smoothness and amplitude, it unfolds with elegance and consistency, revealing fruity, cereal, chocolate and lightly smoky notes that highlight the richness of its colourful personality.
