Of all the versions selected for La Maison du Whisky's Artist range, this Bunnahabhain holds the record for the number of years spent in cask: 44 years. Made at a time when this distillery produced whisky with little or no peat, it is nevertheless representative of Islay single malts. Its deeply saline character and intensely peated aftertaste are irrefutable proof of this. In addition, its range of aromas and flavours is incredibly charming and exquisitely voluptuous, demonstrating a remarkable unity of tone, as do the liquorice tones that unite the palate and finish so seamlessly.
