Herbalist and master mixer Bruno Malavasi tried barrels from different sources to find the ideal environment for aging and flavoring Campari, which ultimately resulted in this liquid aged in selected second-fill Bourbon barrels.
Aging in bourbon barrels softens the bitter notes with fruity, sweet, and creamy tones, adding a delicate oak aroma to Campari's legendary drink. Inspired by bartenders, their opinions were taken into account throughout the development process in order to define the best version of this spirit and give birth to Campari Cask Tales.
