Craigellachie 19 is primarily aged in a mixture of barrel types. Then 50% of the blend is finished in Sherry casks and 50% in Bourbon casks. Two additional years in oak barrels have a notable influence. The pineapple note becomes more predominant with age. The sweetness of the 17yo is replaced by a biscuity, sweet intensity and a sulphurous note.
