EPISTEME R20W26 explores the influence of wood on two single rye whiskies from specific plots and vintages. Made from Caroas rye harvested in 2020 on a single plot at the foot of Mont Aiguille, this whisky was malted, mashed, fermented and distilled in the same week. After initial ageing in Cognac casks, the distillate continued to mature in new wooden casks, including one made from French oak.
R20W26 ● Oak was matured in new French oak casks, carefully crafted to create a subtle harmony between the wood and the rye. The result is a straightforward, balanced whisky that is faithful to the Hautes Glaces style. Limited edition of 582 bottles.
