RØØF24▲ is the second release in a series of exploring the influence of finishes on the taste of the whiskies of Domaine des Hautes Glaces. This 100% malted single rye is blended from several vintages and the Domaine's two emblematic parcels: Gabert and Vulson. After a long maturation in Cognac casks, the rye was then matured for five additional months in two barrels that had contained a red wine from the Côtes de Duras. Normally, white barrels are preferred, but the absence of dogmatism when it comes to exploring taste can lead to some wonderful surprises. And this is one of them! A successful and harmonious cohabitation of red wine and rye, these two universes melt with force in the glass.
