Founded in 1996 by Richard Seale in Barbados, Foursquare typically distils using a combination of column stills and pot stills. This rum is an absolute exception: a Foursquare distilled entirely in pot still, with no blending whatsoever, delivering the full density and aromatic complexity that this method alone can achieve. In 2015, a first edition aged just two years had already hinted at the fascinating potential of this unique style. This is its fulfilment: ten additional years of tropical ageing, carried out in former 370-litre Cognac casks — whose spirit-soaked staves have imparted a woody, fruited signature of rare elegance.
