Also known as cider brandy or lambig, Fine de Bretagne is the fruit of Breton tradition. Fine de Bretagne is to Calvados what Armagnac is to Cognac. Warenghem, a century-old Breton distillery, is launching two cuvées, Étoile and Glycine, in tribute to the schooners from Brittany that used to go cod fishing in Iceland and load their holds with barrels of Cidre or Fine Bretagne brandies. Glycine, Étoile's little sister, has lovely stewed notes, combined with the freshness and floral notes typical of Fine Bretagne.
