The Glenburgie distillery, located near Forres in the Speyside region, is a Scottish distillery founded in 1810. It is best known for producing an elegant single malt, which is a key component in Ballantine's blends. Glenburgie is renowned for its fruity whiskies, often characterised by notes of apple, pear and honey. Although Glenburgie is best known for its contribution to blends, single malt bottlings also reveal its round, accessible profile. Renovated in 2004, the distillery combines modernity and tradition in its production.
The Distillery Labels range reflects the special relationship Gordon & MacPhail has maintained with a handful of distilleries for over a century. Entrusted year after year with new make spirits (distillates), Gordon & MacPhail has developed its art of maturing whisky and showcases each expression on a unique label. An honour for these now iconic distilleries, which used to bottle little or none of their single malt under their own label.
