Like the Hampden 5 Year Old 2016 cruchon unveiled last year, this version falls into the LROK category, a mark with an ester content of between 200 and 400 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Four years old, it is divided into two distinct stages: the first, olfactory, perfectly embodies the heady, empyreumatic style of the rum produced by the Hampden distillery; the second, gustatory, reveals a gourmand character so abundantly fruity that it is reminiscent at times of mirabelle plum brandy.
