Kitcho Hozan is a rich, full-bodied, powerful honkaku shochu, distilled from sweet potatoes fermented with black koji (a fungus that transforms starch into fermentable sugar). It is best enjoyed the Japanese way, by adding a dash of hot water (3 parts hot water to 2 parts shochu) to release all its aromas.
