It is blended mainly from malts aged 45 years and older, to recreate the authentic taste and character of the first blends created in the 19th century. Johnnie Walker Blue Label is composed of a few very rare whiskies that are specifically reserved for it. Some Speyside malts bring suppleness and lightness. Others, more robust and balanced, give it its power. The hint of peat comes naturally from the islands of Islay and Skye. Its unique velvety texture comes from aged malts from distilleries that no longer exist, such as Port Ellen, Glen Albyn, and Glen Mohr. This is a 20cl glass bottle in an elegant box.
