After the success of Kanosuke and the launch of Hioki Pot Still, Kanosuke decided to bring together the best of their two distilleries.
Double Distillery is above all the story of two brothers who wanted to continue the tradition of barrel-aged spirits in homage to their grandfather, Kanosuke. It's also the achievement of these distilleries, to demonstrate the extent to which they accentuate and complement each other's characteristics.
The single malt from the Kanosuke distillery and the single grain from the Hioki distillery are aged in re-charred ‘Mellowed Kozuru’ casks, virgin American oak casks, bourbon casks and Sherry casks. These whiskies are then brilliantly blended, each bringing out the richness and aromas of the other.
