Ledaig (pronounced Ledschig) is the smoky, peaty variant of Tobermory. It is also produced at the Tobermory distillery. The two each account for around half of annual production. The distillery experienced a production hiatus from spring 2017 to spring 2019. It underwent a total renovation and all stills were replaced. The sherry adds something powerful to the Ledaig, slightly earthy notes, old walnuts, leather, a funny menthol, thin mint candies. Cigars and light smoke on the finish.
