This rum was distilled at the famous Monymusk distillery (also known as Clarendon Estate) in Jamaica. It bears the MMW (Monymusk Wedderburn) mark, which means, among other things, that it was distilled in an iron still and that the target level of esters leaving the still is between 200 and 300 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. This rum was aged for over 24 years in American oak casks, initially in a tropical climate, before being transported to Scotland for the second part of the ageing process. Only 105 bottles were bottled in Scotland in February 2023. Non-chill-filtered, no colourants and unfined.
