MOUNT GAY 2nd LIMITED EDITION: SINGLE ESTATE 24_02_Vt18d2
24_02_Vt18d2 is the first vintage in the collection (2018) and made entirely from estate-grown cane. The first opus was a blend of the 2016 and 2017 harvests. It was in 2015 that Mount Gay acquired 234 ha of cane fields from the historic Mount Gay and Oxford estates. Since then, the team has managed the entire rum-making process: from sugar cane to glass.
24_02_Vt18d2 highlights the unique character of Barbados' terroir and climate. Distilled in copper stills and aged for 6 years in white oak barrels that have contained bourbon, 24_02_Vt18d2 reveals unique flavors.
The “Single Estate Series” bottle illustrates the company's long-term commitment to the environment, with the first Mount Gay expression to be entirely eco-designed.
