    Ninkasi's famous brewery-distillery passionately crafts single malts brewed, distilled and aged in Tarare (a few kilometers from Lyon). Each bottle is the fruit of unique expertise in brewing (acquired since their first brew in 1997) and aging, mostly in wine casks from the region's terroirs. The "Saisons" range is a gustatory projection of nature's memories. For this "Spring" edition, Alban Perret, Ninkasi's master distiller, has aged the distillate in cognac barrels, followed by a finish in white wine barrels from the Cuilleron estate. A resolutely floral and fruity approach, in homage to the promise of spring. Initially fresh and floral on the attack (honeysuckle, vanilla), this single malt then reveals juicy fruit notes (peach, lychee, apricot) and pastry notes (flan, pound cake), warmed on the finish by lovely spicy notes (white pepper). A whisky that is both springtime and gourmet, sure to seduce distillery fans.
