In 1997, Dominique Camus purchased a farmhouse in La Chapelle-Saint-Ouen, near Rouen, and started brewing. His first beers were launched in 1999. In 2002, with the help of Dominique Rimbert, a travelling distiller, he conducted his first distillation trial. Seeking autonomy, he acquired an Armagnac still and released his first whisky, named Thor Boyo, in 2005. Produced from spring barley grown on site, smoked with beechwood and fermented for five days, this expression, aged in a recharred cask that previously held Bordeaux wine, stands out for its precision and structure. Built around distinctive smoky and ashy notes, it displays impressive aromatic and taste consistency throughout the tasting.
