This wine embodies the Noval style in a remarkable way. It is made exactly like a Vintage Port, exclusively from the noble grapes of the quinta, and is crushed and made without filtration. Its main difference is that it is aged for four years, sometimes five, in wooden vats, instead of the usual two years for Vintage Ports. This is a very different LBV, with fine, structured tannins, great freshness and very pure fruit. It can be enjoyed now, but will age beautifully in bottle.
This Unfiltered LBV has a deep ruby colour and intense, elegant aromas. Its rich aromatics are characterised by generous notes of ripe black fruits and spices. The fine but robust tannins give a structure of great amplitude and a delicious length in the mouth.
