Rockley First Drops celebrates the return of a true icon of rum: the legendary Rockley still.
First Drops marks the rebirth of the oldest rum still still in operation anywhere in the world, a true symbol of Barbados' distilling heritage. Originally commissioned in the late 18th century, the Rockley still helped shape the character of some of the island's finest rums for generations.
Following more than 3,000 hours of meticulous restoration in 2024 at Maison Ferrand's coppersmith workshop—one of the very few spirits houses in the world with its own in-house coppersmiths—the extraordinary still has now been brought back to life at Stade's Rum Distillery.
These First Drops embody the dialogue between heritage and renewal, revealing a historic style of distillation that is powerful, structured, and deeply rooted in the traditions of Barbados.
