There are many stories about the origin of the Manhattan, though its true authorship remains uncertain. One thing is certain, however: the first published recipe for this cocktail—now considered a true American icon—dates back to 1884. While traditionally made with rye whiskey, the Travellers Cocktails version uses Nikka Coffey Grain whisky, combined with Del Professore Rosso vermouth and Aromatic Bitters, finished with a touch of Amarena cherries. By breaking the mold, the Travellers Cocktails Manhattan may well become a new classic.
