Located in Brooklyn, Widow Jane distillery was founded in 2014. To make its future whiskeys, it uses cereals grown by the distillery's own farm, also located in New York State, more precisely in Rosendale, as well as those grown by a farm in Pennsylvania. Its spring water comes from the old Rosendale mine known as "Widow Jane". Cement from this mine was used to construct some of New York's most iconic buildings, such as the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.
Paradigm Rye marries both their comprehensive access to whiskeys across state lines with spirit distilled in Red Hook blended with hand-selected rye whiskeys from Kentucky and Indiana to carry on the tradition of Widow Jane’s unusual Ryes that are both delicate yet a powerful base for classic cocktails. Its intriguing and approachable flavor profile goes beyond the spice notes for which rye is known, and incorporates the sweetness and mouthfeel emblematic of the diversity of rye.
