Inaugurated in 2021 in Sainte-Claire Goyave, Guadeloupe, the Papa Rouyo distillery is the fruit of collaboration between a collective of sugarcane growers and the descendants of Charles Albert Ruscade, aka Papa Rouyo, an emblematic figure in Guadeloupe agriculture. Made from sugarcane varieties B80689 and R579, then distilled in a Charentais iron still, this version aged in sherry casks for 30 months subtly blends youth and maturity, simplicity and complexity. Its palette of aromas and flavors unites the West Indies and the southern Iberian Peninsula under a single banner.
